This fall I will begin my final year of school in the University of Cincinnati’s DAAP Industrial Design Program. My experience at the University of Cincinnati (UC) thus far has provided me with the opportunity to learn the creative and professional skills needed within the class room and beyond.

In the classroom, I have explored a range of design areas from medical rehabilitation to furniture to consumer packaging experience and new technologies. I have also been actively involved in the UC Chapter of the Industrial Designers Society of America. Through UC’s Cooperative Education Program I have been able to successfully complete professional design internship experiences with Dow Corning, Legrand North America and two with Webb deVlam.

I have learned to see the bigger picture from my experience in both academic and professional settings. Looking to the future and post-graduation, I am most interested in continuing to work in the field of brand development. I have confidence that both my academic and professional experiences have effectively prepared me for a career in the areas I desire.
